Workshop lead/trainer

I’ve designed and lead many workshops and training sessions on subjects such as business strategy and leadership, social media 101s, multiplatform news production, compliance and editorial responsibilities for online publications.

Public speaking

With a background in broadcast news, I’m an experienced public speaker on themes such as multiplatform business models and commissioning opportunities, how digital technology is changing TV and what that means for producers, what multiplatform and social means for news and content operations.

Panel Chair/Host

I designed and hosted a year long Channel 4 events programme for 500 TV/film producers to understand technology and new platforms. I’ve chaired panels discussions for organisations like the AOP and BIMA.

Judging

I’ve been a judge for TV and digital awards including the Broadcast Awards, the Broadcast Digital Awards, the AOP Awards amongst others.

Board & committee membership

Vice chair of BIMA, the British trade body for digital media professionals and businesses from 2014 - 2016, I was on the Edinburgh International TV and Film Festival committee in 2015. I’m also a member of the advisory board for the heritage centre for St Kilda (Ionad Hiort), to be built in Uig, Outer Hebrides.
